This page explains what [Registered Business Name] ("RapaPay") stores about organisations and their members, why, and who processes it on our behalf.
What we store
- Your mobile number, which is your account. Sign-in uses a one-time code; we store no password.
- Your name and the details an organisation keeps about you, such as your flat or unit and any fields it asks you to fill.
- Your dues, autopay permissions, payments, refunds and complaints, so you and your organisation see the same ledger.
- For people who receive money through RapaPay: the bank account or UPI ID you give us for payouts, masked wherever it is shown.
- For organisations: the business and bank details and documents needed for the ID check (KYC).
- The devices you sign in from, so we can send notifications and let you sign out everywhere.
Why we use it
Only to run the service: to show dues, take and record payments, send reminders and receipts, verify organisations and payees, handle complaints, and meet our legal and regulatory duties. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who processes it
Payments, bank and UPI checks and organisation verification are handled by Cashfree Payments, an RBI-authorised payment aggregator. SMS go through our messaging provider. Your UPI PIN, OTPs and card numbers are entered in your bank or UPI app and never reach RapaPay.
What other members see
Your organisation sees your dues and payments with it. Other members see you in the directory only if you turn on "Show me in the directory", which is off until you choose.
How long we keep it
We keep payment records for as long as the law requires. If you close your account, we remove your profile and keep only the records we are required to retain.
Your choices
You can see and correct your details in the app, change your directory setting, sign out of all devices, and close your account from Settings. For anything else, write to [privacy@rapapay.example — placeholder].
